Today in History

On October 25, 1955 the first domestic microwave oven was introduced. As mentioned in a previous post it was called the Radar Range. According to This Day in Tech the cost of this first microwave was equivalent to $16,000 to $24,000. That's a lot of money to pop some popcorn.
Today it's estimated that over 90% of American households have microwave ovens.
